Works included in the exhibition are installations from three different shows created and shown by Reynolds during her MFA study 2002 – 2004 at San Jose State University: Baked in a Pie, Cleaning the Cage, and Narrative Threads, as well as a preview of her thesis show: Passing Through.
Working with various materials, Reynolds creates haunting and multi-layered narratives that explore the implications of loss, choice, entrapment and memory. While various pieces from these shows have been previously exhibited in group shows throughout California, this will be the first time the impact of the full installations will be on view outside of San Jose.In addition, this will be a first-time showing of her work from Passing Through.
